I'm not in Melbourne, but from the Aquatic plants list I's say there are probably more plants available in Malaysia/Singapore than here in Sydney.

So, where is this Seremban farm actually. Would love to visit it one day.

By the way, I new in here but do have some experience to share. I have 4 planted tank at the moment. A 55 gallons show tank in the living room and three 20 gallons under the porch. The main tank has 2 mm gravel with some granular base fertilizer (and...garden soil at the bottom), 180 W of lighting and DIY CO2 injection, running on a canister filter. pH 6.8, 0 ammonia/nirite, 12.5 ppm of nirate and soft water. The other 3 are just the opposite- no filter, no artificial light (indirect sunlight), 2 mm gravel with a sprinkle of base fertilizer (but with very low fish stock and all low light plants).
So, far so good except... where can I get more plants.
At the moment, the stock are: H polysperma,H difformis, Microsorum spp, Bacopa caroliana, Blyxa japonica, Cabomba caroliana & furcata, N stellata & maculata, hairgrass and some unknown sp. collected from local rivers. I wish to add more variety. Really looking foward to have Crypt. THE problem is where to get them? None of shops in Kota Bharu and K Terengganu stock any plants. Occasionally some Anubias and Java fern do trickle in. Special order through them won't do any good- so far. So, i resorted to local streams and rivers. Blyxa and Eleocharis are common sight here (in KT). But I want Crypt. Period. I thought Crypts are local plants?

You should be able to find crpyts and barclaya in the streams. You should try slow moving streams. Saw in the internet that you can find crypts in the rubber estate and ditches. Wish you luck in finding them. Once my crypts start to run all over the place again, i can send you some but they may not survive the journey as they can melt easily.

Hi,

Have you guys tried 88 Marine at Subang SS15 ?? They have JAVA MOSS, selling rm$3/10grm (I last bought at this price) and RICCA as well.

Got to check out the price for Ricca. Last time i visited them, they were selling at about rm$8/10gram)

However I once saw it at IKANO, Pet safari, JAVA moss, but did not ask for the price.

Cheers...

NIX
