Faded colour of clown loach

Was wondering, do local breeders inject clown loaches to increase the colour intensity ? I bought some yesterday at a local LFS and just noticed that the colour is a bit dull. At first i thought this was due to stress. Now im having my doubts.
The first 3 that i bought from Taman Desa Aquarium a few months ago didnt fade like this.
