I have two Kissing fish. One is very dominant and always chases the other into a corner. Is it normal for them to lay on the bottom of the tank, sometimes sideways? I had a high ammonia level, but that is better now. The other fish are fine and the Kissing fish swim away if you point at them.

These kissing fish belong to the trichoghaster group which includes pearl gourami, dwarf gourami, honey grourami, 3 spot gourami and the gold gouramis all of which are a sight to behold.
Problem with the kissing gourami is that they can be very territorial and their kissing is actually a sign of aggression! They can also grow to quite a size measuring 6 inches. It's not recommended you mix smaller fish with your kissing gouramis. |

Just the one kind of kissing fish which is pinkish in colour. The only difference between the ones sold at different lfs is the size. Some comes in 1 1/2 inch to 4 inches variance and of course, prices would vary accordingly as well.
