I have several ghost shrimp that are pregnant . I was just wondering how long it takes them to lay their eggs & how long it takes for them to hatch.
any information would be greatly appreciated... thanks alot!!

since ghost shrimps have basically the same body configuration as a crayfish i would imagine the birthing to be the same. the eggs are held under the tail untill they hatch and at that time they are scattered around. after that point its every shrimp for itself as the bigger ones will cannibalize the smaller ones. this is only an educated guess so dont be upset if im wrong. let me know how it goes.

im happy to hear about your new additions to your aquairum. what kind of setup do you have going for them? i think it would be interesting to see what would happen if i had a few in my tank but i dont know if my loaches would try to eat them. i have a 125 gallon community tank with 8 australian rainbows, 18 neons, 2 platys, 4 danios, 1 redtail shark, 2 khuli loaches, 3 clown loaches, 2 skunk cory cats, 3 rosy barbs, and 2 serpea tetras. i also have a few live plants in there attached to hunks of driftwood. im trying to upgrade my lighting so i can put more plants in. let me know if you think the shrimp would go well in there. thanks.
