Dear Leed80,

I think u need to get a bigger blue tank for ur arapaimas cos it seems like they have insufficient space to swim around or maybe just build a pond for both of them.....actually these fishes belong to the wild due to their enormous build......gud luck anyways in keeping them

yes, they r male n female...but nobody succesfully breed them in captivity yet..mine r about 1 year old only..still young..

hmm..yep..looks like i need to buy a bigger place or just build a pond for them..

i know 2 place at tmn melawati and ampang where u can buy this fish....but it seasonal fish.u can buy juvenile arapaima like twice a year.n when u buy it is very small around the size of your palm..n it cost about rm150 each...

IMHO these fish belong in the wild and not in an aquarium.

IMHO, if you could properly take care of them, please do. But if not, please let them go.

You will need a HUGE aquarium/pond though. And proper feedings could cost quite a fair amount of $$$.

that pic there seems awfully small for 2, even 1 is too small.you are just torturing them like this. it's good that you plan to make a pond for them. just dont throw them into some river when they get too BIG. good luck
