Yup, I understand where you're coming from. But how would you keep your PO4 levels in check. I assume you're going to feed the tank? BTW, H2S never comes out from the sand bed without good reason ... like digging in it.

recently i use TM PO4 tester to check my PO4
i just feed the fish with dryfood,but not often i feed
i don feed any coral in mytank

yes,
use 150w MH
& a lousy weipro skimmer
but another thing is i change 10% water twice a week

and how big is ur tank?

Bigger tank require better and more powerful Protein Skimmer.
